The "AI voices" tab has 15 English voices from a cloud AI voice library, and the "Clone your voice" tab makes a voice from your own 30-second recording. Both share one free allowance: 30 seconds of audio a day per person, up to 360 characters at a time, no account. There are no voices of real people.

The sample stays in your browser and goes to the cloud AI outside Russia with each request; our server does not keep it. Character voices are fine for jokes and social posts, but not for ads: the character belongs to its rights holder.

How much does it cost?

Reading text aloud with the built-in and system voices is free, with no volume limit. Paid plans start at $5.99 a month and add studio-grade cloud voices. Cloning your own voice is free too: in the browser for 30 seconds of audio a day, and in the app on your own computer with no limit. Premium adds a cloud clone for computers without a suitable graphics card.

Can I clone my voice for free?

Yes, in two ways. On this page, record 30 seconds of your voice in the "Clone your voice" tab and the AI reads your text with it, free for 30 seconds of audio a day, no account. In the Dictator app the clone runs on your own computer with no limit on any plan; it needs an NVIDIA graphics card with 2 GB of memory on Windows or an Apple Silicon Mac with 8 GB.

Which AI character voices are there?

The "AI voices" tab has 15 English voices from a cloud AI voice library: meme and trend voices such as Brainrot and Quandale Dingle, characters such as Hatsune Miku, Gojo, Metal Sonic and the Mortal Kombat Announcer, and narrators for ads, documentaries and horror stories. There are no voices of real people.

Do I need an internet connection?

It depends on the voice. Windows system voices read text with no connection at all. The 322 natural voices are generated by an online service, so they need the internet, but they cost nothing and have no volume limit even on the free plan.

Which formats can I download?

MP3 plays everywhere, WAV is uncompressed and best for editing, OGG is the smallest, and M4A is the one Apple devices prefer. Every format is built right in your browser, so nothing is uploaded twice.

Is there a mobile version?

Yes, for Android. Every build is on the download page.
